The main house designed in the Regency Style by the respected local architect, Paul Williams, was restored to its original appearance. The pool house addition maintains the style of the main house and compliments its detailing and character.

Paul Williams, in an interview in 1970, related that “the background of a home should be subtle-the guests and host and hostess should provide the color.” The design of the pool house reaffirms this design concept as well as embracing Southern California climate and lifestyle. The entertainment room and guest suite (for their parents’ extended visits from Europe) offer visitors an active relationship with the pool and main house without forgoing the privacy required.

The pool house was designed to recall the clients’ childhood memories of vacationing in the Deauville area of France. The pool, bath, dressing room, and guest suite are elegantly decorated to ensure that the guests feel welcome and comfortable.
